No tricks in the trial, no surprise overage bills, no contract to escape. Here’s how billing actually behaves.
- How does the free first month work?
- Every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial. We ask for a card at signup so we can keep storage for real teams (not spam orgs), but you’re not charged until the month is up. We send reminders 7, 3, and 1 day before the first charge, so nothing is a surprise.
- What counts toward my storage?
- Your quota is the total data you’re keeping, and since the Drive and your S3 bucket are the same files underneath, a file is only ever counted once. Quotas are fixed per plan with no metered overage bills; if you outgrow one, you move up to a larger plan.
- What happens if I hit my quota?
- Your existing files stay fully readable; nothing is deleted. New uploads pause until you free up space or move to a larger plan, and we show a clear banner with an upgrade link when you’re close.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. There’s no long-term contract; you can cancel from billing whenever you like, and you keep access through the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- How do seats and teams work?
- Personal is a single account. Church Starter and Media Cloud bring your team in with shared, pooled storage; Business Team is billed per seat, so you pay for the people you add. Outside collaborators come in through share links, not paid seats.
- Is it really my own S3 bucket?
- Yes. You can generate native S3 keys and reach your files with standard tools, so you’re never locked in. The S3 Cloud and Enterprise plans take that further with capacity bands and hands-on provisioning.
